Since coming to Modesto in the summer of 1981 after clerking for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in the Central District of California, Jim has fully litigated virtually any type of civil case imaginable. From winning an arbitration on behalf of a local contractor against an irrigation district to the tune of over one million dollars, to resolving complex personal injury cases with serious injuries, to making the phone call that resolves a dispute simply and economically for all concerned, Jim knows that it takes to get things done.

His approach is outcome oriented, sitting downs with clients at the very outset of a case to talk about how a seemingly insolvable matter might get done in a way that makes sense economically and emotionally. Jim also draws up contracts, writes wills and handles probate matters effectively and efficiently. After practicing law here in Stanislaus County for over 35 years, there are not too many things Jim hasn’t seen, and this experience gives his client great confidence in putting their most important matters in his hands.

Beyond the practice of law, Jim loves coaching youth football, and he has enjoyed his 14 seasons as a head coach for the Modesto Christian Kingsmen, working to make a difference in his community.
